Hi there! My name is Farah and I’m a Registered Dietitian with a Masters in Food and Nutrition, and a Masters in Fine Art Illustration, currently living in New York City. I grew up abroad and have moved every four years since the year 2000, living in Columbus OH, Savannah and Atlanta GA, Fairfax VA, NYC and Massachusetts I’ve also changed careers, from being an IT Consultant for 6.5 years to becoming a Registered Dietitian in July 2014 after spending a rigorous 3.5 years in graduate school.
I started this blog back in 2010 after being inspired by many healthy living blogs, most of which I still follow. I strive to live a balanced and healthy life, and I hope to share some aspects of this with you through this blog. I’ve moved many times, changed careers, have been back to school and spent countless nights either studying or working, and so I’m no stranger to the different types of pressures and stresses that we all experience at some point in our life. Through it all though, I’ve tried to maintain some measure of balance – by eating healthy meals and snacks, exercising on a regular basis and spending time with friends and family. I hope that you find my corner of the world interesting and are able to take away some ideas for healthy meals and/or tips to incorporate in your own life.
